Take a moment to catch up (here at our website!) on our 9th flavor, “Square One”. It’s simple, yet still has its own unique flavor! For those that like their oats a little more traditional, or for a picky (or shall we say, “particular”?) eater that doesn’t want all the fruits and nuts mixed in, this is oats-so-perfect!

What else is great about “Square One”? Of course the calories are fewer compared to some of our other cups, but it’s also great given the fact it’s currently lower in price, compared to all the others!

Fall time is here, which means the oatmeal-craze will get even crazier! Who says though, that with this summer heat, oats aren’t as appealing?? Our orders are still rollin’ in just as much, so apparently the warm weather doesn’t affect the popularity of our product! Fall is an especially-cozy time though, perfect for a warm cup of our product!

Speaking of the Fall season, keep our product in mind, for those of you that are sending your loved one(s) off to school.. Perfect for the dorm room, all you need is hot water! Easy to store, too!

We love seeing our fans purchase here through our website, and have it shipped by us directly to their student! Our product is great for those caring family members that want to know their student is eating a good meal, or wholesome snack!

Of course we find it so special and we’re proud to see those of you purchasing the product to send overseas to our military!! Umpqua Oats are a great year-round idea, that’s very affordable and thoughtful! Remember we sell our product by the case, which is 12 cups!

We will be off to a few events this month, too! Check back in the next few days, for a schedule on where we’ll be!

Oh, last but not least: Our Facebook contest for August was a huge success! We met many new fans there, and received so many great compliments about our product! It really is hard to allow only a certain amount of winners, so to those that didn’t win this time around, keep entering our contests that we’ll hold there and at Twitter, monthly!

We are pleased to announce we have received our Kosher certificate, as both parve and dairy- although just for Timeout.  (Even though this flavor is not made with dairy, the chocolate in it is manufactured in a warehouse that produces milk chocolate).

We will be adding the logos to our website, labels, etc., soon!  Be on the look-out!

Greetings from Manhattan Beach California.

Recently my mom was visiting me from Roseburg where I grew up from 6 years old, living on the N. Umpqua River. We were thirsty for some great iced tea so we walked into a local tea shop and there we found Umpqua Oats displayed. Rarely have I seen the word Umpqua so I was quite surprised. My mom had never seen it in Roseburg so we bought some to try. As a flight attendant it is the perfect thing for me to take to work.

Also, I was in a beach volleyball tournament last Saturday and needed a quick breakfast to fuel me for the morning matches and your Umpqua Oats filled me up for the entire morning. Thanks! I made it into the semi finals. The next day I went back to the tea shop and stocked up on more Umpqua Oats.

Lately we’ve had quite a few retailers asking about flyers, signs, and window clings.  Does your location (either as a retailer, or as a customer that buys our product from your favorite retailer!) feature signs to promote our product?  If you need any of these items, let us know!  We also offer counter racks which make for great space savers, and a fancy little display at your business!  Of course we have our logo merchandise too!

Right now Chris and Norm are preparing to head back home to the Umpqua Valley, after a few days at the SCAA in Houston.   For those that made it to the event and took the time to stop by to meet them, thank you!  Norm and Chris each share ownership and management duties of the company, with their wives, founders Sheri (Norm) and Mandy (Chris).  They are very dedicated to the company, working around the clock throughout the week, here at our headquarters! 

Last week was surely a hit with our online website orders, from our fans!  It makes us very happy to ship out our product to recipients that are recieving it as a gift!  We do offer a personalized notecard, so if you choose to “gift” it to someone in an order at our website, please feel free to note a message in your order, so we can personalize it for you!

One of our biggest goals with our fans and retailers, is to get a photo of your favorite Umpqua Oats retail location!  From your favorite location that offers our product- an espresso drive thru, cafe, eatery, or maybe even a lodging location or fitness center, we’d love to “see” our product out there!  An even bigger goal, would be to get a photo from at least 1 location in all US states offering our product, as well as throughout the areas in Canada where it’s available!

So, do you have a favorite spot you purchase or sell the product? Are you on Facebook or Twitter?  Can you share, or “tag” us at these sites, with the photo?  A photo of the business location, or even their sign, would be great!

Being very busy with our families, our product’s the perfect idea for many reasons, and we hope you can agree!  Rather racing to your child’s event, cramming a quick break in between appointments, or as an easy meal/snack while traveling- at some point, many of us have had the opportunity to enjoy Umpqua Oats, while especially pressed for time!  

We hope that our fans out there have enjoyed our 8 flavors, and their quality ingredients in each mix!  Many of you follow the basic method for prepping your cup with hot water, while others have shared their own special ideas and “goodies” that they’ve enjoyed adding, to make it their “own” mix.  Really, with Umpqua Oats, the possibilities are endless!  No matter what time of day it’s enjoyed, or what you add to it, you can’t go wrong! 

As mentioned in our past blog, our 2nd year has started off great, with the release of one of our biggest requests- a mix that contains no sugar, so those that wish to, can add their own artificial sweetener, as well as other things (such as protein powder).  This flavor, named “Not Guilty”, has been such a huge demand, and it seems everyone is very satisfied with it!  We’ve really appreciated those that have blogged about it, sharing why this flavor is particularly important to them, in their daily diet, health and lifestyle.

Never did we imagine the product taking off this quickly, outside our “home” of the beautiful Umpqua Valley, here in Oregon!  It’s a wonderful feeling to walk (or drive through- at say an espresso location!) past a shelf or counter, and see Umpqua Oats sitting there, waiting for someone to purchase and enjoy it!  These moments and hearing from those of you that are happy with the product, make all the long hours and dedication to our company, so worthwhile!  It’s indescribable how thankful we really are!

Our distributors have done a wonderful job at getting Umpqua Oats across the US (and now Canada!), it’s greatly-appreciated!  Our retailers are also doing a remarkable job promoting our product (from promotional specials, mentioning us on Facebook, Twitter, and their own websites, displaying our logo signs at their locations, offering brochures, etc!)!  Without all of you, we wouldn’t have found greater success!

Our fans are fantastic, too- what would we do without all of you?  It takes you enjoying our product, to have it out there!  We love hearing from you, and feeling the support and compliments by email, and over at Facebook and Twitter!  Of course here in the Umpqua Valley, pretty much anywhere we go, we’re reminded constantly about how great of a job we’ve done!   Thank you, thank you!

To our staff and crew- you’ve done an amazing job!  You are all such hard workers!  Without you, this couldn’t be possible!!

We’d personally like to also thank our families, for their understanding (to all the time we’ve put in to the company, that keeps us so busy!) and also for their dedication they’ve personally and uniquely given to our company!  Our wonderful children are the biggest reason for brainstorming the product!!

The support on both our Facebook and Twitter pages, has been great!  Daily, we get at least a few new friends, that stop in to follow us there!  When the company first began, the locals were so excited for us, but it’s an even greater assurance to see that people all over the US- or wait, the world, are interested in our product, and what we’re about! 

Please take a moment if you will, to LIKE us on our official BUSINESS/COMPANY Fan Page at Facebook.  At some point, our original “Friend” page at Facebook will cap-out, as our count is getting high there.  We plan to run more fun contests over there, for product giveaway!  You don’t have to be local in the Umpqua Valley to win, we do SHIP prizes, as we’re so happy to have fans all over the place!

The past week we’ve especially had so many compliments coming in from Canada!  We are very proud to have such a great place offering our product!  We are getting requests nearly every day, that Canada wants to see our product available in more locations!  So please spread the word up there to your favorite locations that would do well with our product!  Tell their management to check out our website!
